Discover Diefenbaker DessertsonSaturday, July 12, 2008 or Sunday, July 13, 2008at theCanadian Royal Heritage Museum (Diefenbaker Birthplace) 144 Barbara Street (near John Street), Neustadt, Ontario Dorothy Duncan, food historian and author of Nothing More Comforting: Canada’s Heritage Food and Canadians at Table: Food, Fellowship and Folklore, will discuss, demonstrate and serve samples of some of the Victorian sweets and dainties that the Diefenbaker family would have enjoyed while they lived in the Diefenbaker family home in Neustadt from 1895 to 1897.
